Czapek unveiled the Place Vendôme Tourbillon ‘Dark Matter’ a 10-piece limited edition timepiece featuring a black titanium case with ADLC coating and dark bridges with PVD treatment.

The 43.5 mm case houses a proprietary hand-wound movement developed by Czapek with Chronode, the Le Locle-based company of Jean-François Mojon.

Beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), the SXH2 calibre features a one-minute suspended tourbillon, visible on the dial side at 8 o'clock, together with a second time zone, a day/night disk, and a classic power reserve indicator. The single barrel spring guarantees a 60-hours power reserve.

Protected by a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, the dial shows the hours and minutes in an off-center display at 12 o’clock embellished by a “Grand feu” black enamel ring that also encircles the power reserve indicator.

At 4 o’clock, we find the second time zone subdial that turns counter-clockwise, just like the day/night disk indicator at 6 o'clock. The honeycomb plate and steel bridges are treated with PVD coating. The arrow hands in white gold are filled with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility in darker environments.

The caseback shows the beautiful finishes of the movement and its bridges treated with PVD coating.
