Breguet is now offering a bracelet option also for its Marine 5517, Chronographe 5527, and Alarme Musicale 5547 in rose or white gold. In these Marine models, rose gold is matched to silver dials while white gold is combined to blue dials.
After the introduction of a new bracelet for its Marine models in titanium, Breguet is now offering a bracelet option also for its Marine 5517, Chronographe 5527, and Alarme Musicale 5547 in white gold or rose gold.
Echoing the contrasting gold on the case, the links alternate between polished and glossy facets adding a touch of sophistication to this sporty bracelet.
The first link is attached directly to the case, continuing the smooth lines of the Marine for superior comfort on the wrist.
In these Marine models, white gold is combined to blue dials while rose gold is matched to silver dials.
The Marine 5517 displays the date at 3 o’clock, housed in an hours chapter with Roman numerals. The latter are coated with a luminescent material, as are the minutes markings and the Breguet hands. The maritime world is evoked by the seconds hand bearing a “B” in a reinterpreted version of the corresponding maritime signal flag. The case has a diameter of 40 mm and it is water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet. The 4 Hz (28,800 vph) Calibre 777A with 55 hours of power reserve is visible through the sapphire crystal.
The Marine Chronographe 5527 comes in a 42.3 mm case also offering water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet. The measurement of the time occurs through a central chronograph hand and two subdials at 3 o’clock for the minutes and at 6 o’clock for the hours. The small seconds is indicated at 9 o’clock. A date indication between 4 and 5 o’clock sets the final touch. The self-winding Calibre 582QA, beats at a frequency of 4 Hz with a power reserve of 48 hours. It is fitted with an inverted in-line lever escapement with silicon horns as well as with a balance spring in silicon.
Finally, the Marine Alarme Musicale 5547 incorporates the 4 Hz 519F caliber, and includes an alarm function, a display for a second time zone, and the date. When the striking mechanism is triggered, a ship’s bell appears through an opening at 12 o’clock. The alarm and second time-zone indications appear in two separate subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock. This 40 mm model offers a power reserve of 45 hours and water resistance is 50 metres / 165 feet.
