Glashütte Original expands its SeaQ line of diver's watches with two new variations that combine stainless steel with an intense blue colour. The prices of the new Glashütte Original SeaQ start from Euro 8,580 for the model with blue ceramic bezel (ref. 1-39-11-09-81) and Euro 15,400 for the version with diamonds (ref. 1-39-11-09-82).
Glashütte Original expands its SeaQ line of diver's watches with two new variations in blue.
Previously used only for the 43.2 mm SeaQ Panorama Date model, blue dial and blue bezel make their appearance also on the smaller 39.5 mm SeaQ. A special highlight is an attractive newcomer whose rotating bezel sparkles with brilliant-cut diamonds and a sapphire, a complete first for the line.
Both new references feature a galvanic blue dial with sunray finish against which the applied Arabic numerals, the indexes and the hands - all filled with Super-LumiNova inlays - really stand out.
In the first model, the counter-clockwise rotating bezel is fitted with a deep blue scratch-resistant ceramic insert matching the hue of the dial. The bezel rotates with a perceptible and precise click and is enhanced by a blue Super-LumiNova coated triangle to mark the dive start time.
The second timepiece has a glamorous touch with its bezel studded with 47 brilliant-cut diamonds and a sapphire that assumes the function of the triangle mark.
Of course, since the blue gemstone replaces the luminous marking on the bezel, this version does not conform to the DIN and ISO standards, which require that the bezel be equipped with a triangle inlaid with luminous material. While all other criteria - like water resistance, air tightness and shock resistance - conform to the standard for diver’s watches, we are quite sure that this detail will not represent an issue for the lucky wearer of this amazing watch.
The 39.5 mm stainless steel case houses the manufactory’s Calibre 39-11, an automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a running time of 40 hours, a second-stop function and a date window at 3 o’clock.
Both timepieces feature an engraved case back, which is aligned and then secured in place with a threaded bottom ring. The engraving shows the trident maritime symbol, the Glashütte Original double-G and 20 waves, which represent the 20-bar water resistance.
Perfect with its flat stainless steel bracelet with fine adjustment, the SeaQ can also be matched to a water-resistant blue nylon mesh strap with pin buckle or fold fastener. For the SeaQ without brilliants a third option is available, a black rubber strap with relief pattern and fold fastener.

This just knocked the Tudor BB58 Blue from the top of my wishlist!! Totally different price point, I know. But worth every penny! 😃😃😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
