The new Ocean Star GMT by Mido combines excellent diving performances and remarkable autonomy to a practical GMT function that allows the wearer to read the time in two different time zones.
Featuring velvety black on the dial and shiny blue ceramic on the rotating bezel, the Ocean Star GMT is equipped with the 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) Caliber 80 which offers up to 80 hours of power reserve.
For improved readability of the dial, Mido has differentiated the hands according to their function. In addition to the hour, minute and seconds hands, an additional blue varnished 24-hour hand indicates the time in a second time zone by pointing to a 24-hour-circle where the blue and black background indicates day-time and night-time, respectively. Hands and indexes are treated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility in the dark.
The 44 mm stainless steel case alternates satin-finished and polished surfaces and is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel in scratch-resistant blue ceramic to allow the wearer to track elapsed time.
Thanks to its screwed case back and crown, the watch guarantees water-resistance up to 20 bar (200 metres / 660 feet). The case back is engraved with the time zones.
Completed by a blue fabric strap, the Mido Ocean Star GMT ref. M026.629.17.051.00 has a retail price of Euro 1,150.
The Ocean Star GMT is also available in a version with a steel bracelet and orange-coloured GMT indications (ref. M026.629.11.051.01) and in a two-tone steel and rose gold-coloured PVD version (ref. M026.629.22.051.00) with prices of Euro 1,210 and Euro 1,340, respectively. midowatches.com
