With the new Petite Heure Minute “Tiger”, Jaquet Droz unites the essence of its watchmaking and artistic expertise in one timepiece.
Available in two limited series of 28 pieces, the Petite Heure Minute “Tiger” captures the magnetic look of the striped feline achieving an incredible intensity in the miniature painting.
Using fine brushes, some as thin as a strand of hair, a white Tiger with ice blue eyes has been painted on a black dial framed by a white gold case (ref. J005034275).
On the ivory dial with case in red gold, the Tiger displays its famous black and orange fur with green eyes, the most famous characteristics of its species (ref. J005033331). For both references, the case diameter is 43 mm, thickness is 12.06 mm.
These new models well showcase the exceptional skills of the artists of Jaquet Droz's Ateliers d’Art.
The Tiger’s fur is painted with the aid of a microscope. Each hair is individually painted to reproduce the feline’s thick and silky fur. The great care taken in creating the iris and pupil give the illusion that the Tiger’s gaze follows whoever looks upon it, wherever they are.
The Jaquet Droz Petite Heure Minute “Tiger” is powered by the 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) self-winding Calibre 2653.P. This movement features a double barrel delivering 68 hours of power reserve. The beautiful finishes and the 18kt gold oscillating weight are visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back.
