Bulgari keeps consolidating its place among key players in the luxury sports watch segment by perfecting its Octo Finissimo at each new release.
The new Octo Finissimo in satin brushed and polished steel, presented with black dial in January and now with an eye-catching blue lacquered dial with sunburst finishing, increases water resistance to 100 meters / 330 feet - compared to the original 30 meters / 100 feet - while still featuring the thinnest automatic movement.
The improved performance was achieved by increasing the case just slightly to 6.4 mm and adding a screw-down crown.
This is not a minor improvement at all. By achieving waterproofness to 100 meters / 330 feet, the Octo Finissimo is a now a wristwatch that you can wear all day, keeping it on your wrist while swimming or taking a shower and then joining an important meeting in the board room.
The 40 mm extra-thin satin-polished steel case features a transparent caseback that showcases the 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) Manufacture BVL138 caliber (2.23 mm thick) with automatic winding thanks to a highly efficient platinum micro-rotor.
Adorned with Côtes de Genève motif, chamfered bridges and circular-grained baseplate, this exceptional movement offers 60 hours of power reserve.
The screw-down crown is set with a black ceramic inlay. The blue lacquered dial is completed by rhodium-plated hands, numerals and indices.
The integrated satin-polished steel bracelet is composed of supple and articulated links for absolute comfort on the wrist. The ultra-thin folding clasp is by itself an engineering feat.

This is a sexy timepiece. I think the version with black dial is more elegant and distinctive.
