Watches and Wonders 2020: Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar Q4018420. We continue our presentation of the various models of the revamped Master Control collection by Jaeger LeCoultre with the elegant Master Control Calendar Q4018420. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar Q4018420 has a price of Euro 11,600.
After the Master Control Chronograph Calendar, we continue our presentation of the various models of the revamped Master Control collection by Jaeger LeCoultre with the elegant Master Control Calendar Q4018420.
The new model is in line with a tradition that goes back to the 1940s and ’50s when Jaeger-LeCoultre was already renowned for its triple calendar moon-phase movements.
Thanks to a slim mechanical movement, the 40 mm stainless steel case of the Master Control Calendar is well proportioned with a total thickness of just 10.95 mm. It is water resistant to a pressure of up to 5 bar (50 metres / 165 feet).
The sunrayed silver dial has a classical layout with the dates marked around the periphery, indicated by a red-tipped hand, the days and months displayed in the upper part of the dial, and the moon-phase set within the small seconds subdial in the lower part.
Every month, the date hand makes a 90-degree leap from the 15th to the 16th, in order not to obscure the moon-phase display, a nice complication that adds exclusivity to this model.
Beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and visible through the sapphire crystal case-back, the latest-generation Calibre 866 features a new escapement and pallets: reconstructed in a slightly modified shape, they are made of silicon to minimise friction and thus consume less energy. In order to increase the power reserve to 70 hours, the barrel was redesigned to accommodate a stronger and longer mainspring.
Completed by a Novonappa calf or alligator leather strap, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar Q4018420 has a price of Euro 11,600. jaeger-lecoultre.com
