Omega is now announcing the Speedmaster Moonwatch 321 in Stainless Steel. The new Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch 321 in Stainless Steel ref. 311.30.40.30.01.001 has a price of Euro 13,400. The symmetrical 39.70 mm diameter case has straight lugs and is crafted from stainless steel with a bezel ring in polished black ceramic [ZrO2] enhanced by a tachymeter scale in white enamel.
Following the announcement of the return of its celebrated Calibre 321 movement in January 2019 and the July release of the first new timepiece to house this movement, the Speedmaster Moonwatch 321 Platinum, Omega is now announcing the Speedmaster Moonwatch 321 in Stainless Steel.
This new 321-powered Speedmaster model is inspired to the Speedmaster ST 105.003 that astronaut Edward White was wearing when he became the first American to walk in space in 1965. The symmetrical 39.70 mm diameter case has straight lugs and is crafted from stainless steel with a bezel ring in polished black ceramic [ZrO2] enhanced by a tachymeter scale in white enamel.
The Super-LumiNova-treated Moonwatch hands stand out against a black step dial that features a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock as well as 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder at 3 and 6 o'clock respectively. The inside of the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective treatment for enhanced readability.
Omega designers paid attention to respect some details that could be found in the original model, including vintage Omega logos and the position of the dot near the 90 in the tachymeter scale (“Dot over Ninety”).
Of course, the new model features a transparent sapphire-crystal caseback to display the beautiful hand-wound calibre, one of the best example of lateral clutch, column wheel controlled chronograph movement.
Equipped with a Breguet balance-spring and finished with an 18K Sedna gold PVD coating, each Calibre 321 movement is assembled by the same watchmaker. Beating at a frequency of 2.5 Hz (18,000 vibrations per hour), it offers 55 hours of power reserve.

DeleteWay too expensive. It's 2.5 the price of the standard FOIS with different hands and different movement.
