Best in 2019: Ladies Watches

The best Watches for Women launched in 2019. Today we highlight some of our favourite Ladies Watches presented in 2019. Selected watches are listed alphabetically, not in order of preference. Top watches for women in 2019.

Today's article for our series on some of the best timepieces introduced in 2019 in various categories is dedicated to Ladies Watches and follows our past reports on Chronographs, Sport Watches and Dress Watches. On December 31st, we will complete our "Best in 2019" series focusing on wristwatches featuring Complications.

As for past articles, selected watches are here listed alphabetically, not in order of preference.

Breguet Marine Dame
Breguet expanded its Marine collection with new models for Ladies that combine elegance and femininity with a sportier and dynamic look. The new Marine Dame timepieces feature several details echoing the marine world. The Roman numerals resemble nautical pennants. The second hand is decorated with a maritime flag representing the initial of Breguet. The crown protection appears like a wave at 3 o’clock. Available in steel as well as rose or white gold, the Marine comes in several variations, all enriched by  diamond-set bezels. The automatic movements are visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback. Read the full article.

Bulgari Serpenti Seduttori
With the new Serpenti Seduttori collection, Bulgari reinterpreted the Serpenti (the Italian for Snakes) theme with a new glamorous design. Immediately recognizable as a Bulgari timepiece for the iconic drop-shaped case, the new Serpenti Seduttori is thinner than ever before. The flexible new bracelet with hexagonal stylized pattern is inspired by the original Serpenti watches. Powered by Bulgari-personalised high-precision quartz movements, the new collection includes watches in steel, steel and rose gold, rose gold, yellow gold, white gold, and diamond pavé. Hermès Arceau Petite Lune
Designed by Henri d’Origny in 1978, the Arceau by Hermès is a watch of understated elegance with several distinctive and original touches. This is even more evident in the new Arceau Petite Lune, where the round case with asymmetrical stirrup-shaped lugs frames a sparkling white dial sprinkled with pearl grey numerals and a mischievous moon. The watch is powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1837 self-winding movement that is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. Read the full article.

IWC Portofino Collection, 2019 new models
In 2019, IWC unveiled five new models for Ladies that enriched the Portofino line. These new watches are some of the smallest across IWC’s entire portfolio. With a reduced diameter of 34 millimetres, the five new models hark back to the very first Portofino collection which had similarly-sized timepieces for slender wrists, and are available in either in 18-carat rose gold or stainless steel cases, with silver- plated, blue, or green dials, all powered by the self-winding Calibre 35100. Read the full article.

Jaquet Droz Petite Heure Minute Smalta Clara Hummingbird
The Petite Heure Minute “Smalta Clara Hummingbird” uses the smallest Jaquet Droz movement - the self-winding Calibre 6150 beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 38 hours - in order to leave more space to the striking dial where the hummingbird takes central stage. This is crafted using the plique-à-jour enamel (or smalta clara in Latin) that allows for the creation of partitioned decorations in infinite color variations, which are literally bathed in light. Read the full article.

Longines Legend Diver Watch for Ladies
The Longines Legend Diver Watch is available in three variations for Ladies characterized by 36 mm diameter cases instead of 42 mm. Just like for the larger version for Men, in the new timepieces the lines of the original watch are repeated but, of course, Longines improved performances by updating several technical features. The dial is offered in three iterations: a shimmering white mother-of-pearl, a classic brown or the original black. The self-winding mechanical movement Calibre L522 has an autonomy of 40 hours. Nomos Glashütte Metro Rose Gold 33
Housed in a 33 mm rose gold case, the Metro Rose Gold 33 by Nomos Glashütte is characterized by a slim bezel, elegant wire lugs, and a knurled crown. The watch is matched to a Velour leather beige strap with quick-change spring bars. The movement of choice is the hand-wound 3 Hz (21,600 vph) Alpha calibre, in-house built by Nomos. A domed sapphire crystal protects the simple yet refined white silver-plated dial with light gray indexes at 6, 9 and 12 o'clock that add a sophisticated touch to the ensemble.  Read the full article.
