Available on a choice of water-resistant rubber straps or a stainless steel bracelet, the Christopher Ward C60 Apex Limited Edition has a price of Euro 4,370 or Euro 4,495, respectively.
Following the C7 Apex Limited Edition presented in 2018, British watchmaker Christopher Ward is presenting the C60 Apex, a 100-piece Limited Edition representing the most daring dive watch ever created by the brand.
Sporting a navy blue and orange colour scheme, the C60 Apex comes in a 42 mm 316L stainless steel case enhanced by a ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel and water resistant to 300 metres / 1,000 feet.
The helium valve located on the caseband can be used when ascending from a deep dive. This one-way valve automatically releases helium molecules as they expand during the equalising process.
The eye catching dial is rich in detail: an anodised orange power reserve indicator rests upon a 3D bridge at 9 o'clock, while the movement's exposed hour wheel is surrounded by vertically lined plating. Brushed, polished and multi-faceted indexes and hands are filled with Grade X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova; the same lume applied to the markings and numerals found on its ceramic bezel.
The caseback showcases an automatic version of the in-house produced and COSC-certified Calibre SH21, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering 120 hours of power reserve.
Constructed from aluminium and tungsten, its hollowed-out rotor has been finished in anodised orange, while a stripped-back blue bridge reveals the intricate workings that provide Calibre SH21 such precision. This special version of the top-movement of the brand was engineered in partnership with Swiss skeleton watch pioneers Armin Strom.
