Only Watch is a biennial charity auction of one-off luxury timepieces created by the finest watch manufacturers in order to help finance research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative neuromuscular disease affecting 1 in 3,500 boys, therefore 250,000 children, adolescents, and young adults around the world.
The 8th edition will take place on Saturday 9 November 2019, at 2PM at the Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues, in Geneva, under the hammer of Christie’s. The event is organised by Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies (Monaco Association against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) and is supported by Prince Albert II of Monaco.
100% of the proceeds will be directly invested in scientific and medical research on neuromuscular diseases in general and on Duchenne muscular dystrophy in particular. An achievement made possible by to the generous donation and participation of the 52 watch brands, the partners offering a variety of services and logistical support, the media offering substantial coverage and the auctioneer.
Since the first edition in 2005, Only Watch has aggregated more than 40 million Euros that enabled to finance numerous scientific and medical research programs.
Each watchmaker donates a one-off timepiece specifically made for Only Watch or offer a one-off version of an iconic/bestselling model of the brand’s collection, with prices ranging from tens of thousands to several millions of Euros.

F.P.Journe unveils the Astronomic Blue grand complication, with a total of 18 functions and complications displaying all the measures of astronomy that can bespotted from Earth. This timepiece is the result of nearly 14 years of development,
The 44 mm 13.75 mm tantalum case frames a blue/silver dial with the following indications: hours, minutes and seconds of average time, 2nd time zone, hours and minutes of sidereal time, sunrise and sunset, day and night, moon phases, power reserve. Annual calendar and equation of time are displayed on the back side. All settings and corrections can be adjusted by the crown.
Featuring minute repeater, tourbillon with Remontoir d’égalité performing a complete rotation in 60 seconds and dead-beat seconds, the hand-wound prototype calibre 1619 is crafted from 18K rose gold.

In homage to both watchmaking and aviation, Breguet reissues a unique version of its Type 20 pilot chronograph from the fifties in a form that is very faithful to the original (read the history of this model in our article "Breguet, the Type 20 and the world of aviation").
The Breguet Type 20 Only Watch 2019 (ref. 2055ST/Z5/398) comes in a round 38.30 mm x 13.90 mm round steel case featuring a solid caseback with engraving “Breguet Type 20 Only Watch 2019 Pièce Unique”.
The bidirectional rotating bezel with triangular markings for flight calculations frames a bronze colored dial with hours chapter treated with luminescent Arabic numerals.
The watch is powered by the hand-wound Valjoux 235 movement, which is derived directly from the Valjoux 222 used in the fifties. This column-wheel chronograph movement with flyback function offers a 45-hour power reserve.

This unique piece boasts two dials in rose gold and black ebony. The reversible 47.7 mm x 16.07mm case, adorned with a hand-guilloched hobnail pattern, is notable for its patented reversing mechanism. This exceptional grand complication features 20 complications in its stainless steel case, including no fewer than five chiming modes, two of which are patented world firsts: an acoustic alarm that strikes the preselected time and a date repeater sounding the date on demand.
