Combining fine watchmaking with rare handcraftsmanship, Patek Philippe presented a new precious version of its self-winding minute repeater, the Reference 5078G-010.

The 38 mm x 10.18 mm white gold case frames a black enameled dial crafted from 18K gold and decorated with scrolling arabesques, whose subtle contrasts of matt and polished surfaces create a fascinating play of light.

The dial is enhanced by lozenge-shaped applied hour markers in white gold with two facets and slender leaf-shaped hands, also in white gold. A small seconds hand turns discreetly on its subsidiary dial at 6 o’clock.

The beating heart of the timepiece is the calibre R 27 PS, a self-winding movement comprised of 342 parts, with a finely decorated minirotor in 22K gold. Beating at a frequency of 3 Hz, this movement offers a power reserve of 43 to 48 hours.

Its striking mechanism has two classic gongs that can be activated by the slide piece into the left flank of the case. The watch strikes the hours, quarters and minutes on demand.

The new Ref. 5078G-010 in white gold comes with two interchangeable case backs, one in sapphire crystal, the other in solid white gold.
