The third of the three limited editions with a hand-guilloché blue enamel dials presented by Jaeger-LeCoultre at SIHH 2019 is the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel Ref. 13035E1 is a limited edition of 100 pieces with a price of Euro 55,000 (including tax) / US$ 55,000 (excluding tax).
After the moonphase and toubillon models, the third of the three limited editions with a hand-guilloché blue enamel dials presented by Jaeger-LeCoultre at SIHH 2019 is the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel.
For this model, Jaeger-LeCoultre modified its famous self-winding Caliber 868 - hence renamed 868A/2 - arranging both the month and year indications at 12 o'clock. Day and date remains at 3 and 9 o'clock respectively.
In a starry sky that has been delicately polished, the moon phase is housed in a disk at 6 o’clock. The engraved counter simultaneously indicates the moon in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
Above the dial centre, a small rectangular window, generally in the same shade as the background, turns gradually white as evening falls indicating the period (between 10 PM and 4 AM) during which it is preferable to avoid any adjustments in order to avoid potentially damaging the gear wheels that are already engaged in preparing the change of indication that takes place daily at midnight.
Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering an autonomy of 70 hours, the movement is visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back.
Just like the two limited editions from the same family, the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel is characterized by lengthened hour-markers to better harmonize with the Dauphine hands that stand out against the luminous blue of the geometrical guilloché dial.
Water resistant to a pressure of 5 bar, the 39 mm x 10.44 mm white gold case is secured to the wrist by a blue alligator leather strap that matches the colour of the dial.
