In this new timepiece, the local time can be conveniently set with the aid of ergonomically shaped pushers. Each press of these buttons causes the short, local-time hour hand to move clockwise or anticlockwise. When flying East, each press of the “+” button advances the second time zone by an interval of one hour. When flying West, pressing the “–” button moves the UTC hand in the opposite direction.
A day/night disc on the left side of the dial serves as an AM/PM indicator, helping the wearer to set the time for the correct half of the day in the new time zone. A white dot appears here during the daytime hours while the aperture remains black at night.
The date, linked to the local time, automatically shifts forward or backward when necessary. The minute and home time displays remain unaffected by the adjustment of the local time.
Easily recognizable for its arrow tip, the hand indicating the home time turns once every twenty-four hours, showing at a glance whether it is day or night.
Withstanding water pressure up to 10 bar thanks to its screw-down crown, the case measures 42.00 mm x 14.90 mm and is characterized by the gaps at the band attachments that enhance the sensation of lightness.

A sevenfold antireflective coating and an extra hard-coated treatment protect the sapphire crystal.
Beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the automatic Werk 04.110 movement, based on the Sellita Caliber SW 200, features a bidirectional winding rotor which guarantees a 38-hour power reserve.
The front of the calibre is equipped with a time-zone mechanism specially developed for Porsche Design and designed to support the push-button mechanism.
The timekeeping accuracy of each movement is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) after being tested for 15 consecutive days in five different positions and at three different temperatures.
The case back shows the 24 global time zones.
