The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M collection expands with a new model characterized by a larger case (43.5 mm vs 42 mm) crafted from black ceramic with caseback, crown and helium-release valve in Grade 5 titanium.
The unidirectional rotating bezel is also made of titanium with a black ceramic ring and a diving scale in white enamel (for longer-lasting whiteness and durability).
The brushed black ceramic dial of the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Black Ceramic is decorated with the laser-engraved waves typical of the collection. PVD titanium hands and indices are treated with white Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility even in poor light conditions. Differently from the 42 mm models, the dial does not feature a date aperture at 6 o'clock.
Offering water resistance to 300 metres / 990 feet, the case houses the Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, an automatic movement beating at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour and offering a power reserve of 55 hours. Featuring a free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, it is resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 Gauss. The movement is visible through the sapphire display back, making it possible to appreciate the rhodium plated finish with Geneva waves in arabesque.
Movement and watch are tested according to the Master Chronometer certification process approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) whose testing criteria include: the average daily precision of the whole watch, precision of the movement when it is not yet cased (like COSC), precision when the movement is fully wound or near to the end of the power reserve, water resistance, and anti-magnetic resistance of the movement alone as well as of the entire watch.
Completed by an integrated black rubber strap with a black ceramic buckle, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Black Ceramic (ref. 210.92.44.20.01.001) has a price of Swiss Francs 7,500. omegawatches.com

Not sure about the need for a larger case but I like a lot the dial without date and the black look. Can't wait to see it in the metal. It could be my next watch.
ReplyDeleteNot sure why adding 1.5mm to the diameter. Movement and feature look just the same.
