Started in 1953, the history of this iconic Blancpain model continues with the new Fifty Fathoms Automatic in titanium. The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique in titanium (ref. 5015-12B30-B52A or ref. 5015-12B30-NABA with NATO strap) has a price of Swiss Francs 14,700.
With its broad luminescent hour-markers and hands contrasting with a black dial and unidirectional rotating bezel, the Fifty Fathoms was the first modern diver's watch.

This metal is not only resistant to impacts and corrosion, but also particularly light thanks to its low density. Lightness is especially important in this watch considering its imposing size (45 mm x 15.40 mm).
Thanks to its large diameter, the satin-brushed case frames a perfectly readable dial where the hour-markers and hands, treated with Super-LumiNova, offer an ideal contrast with the sunburst black background. The date window, placed between 4 and 5 o'clock, completes the dial without altering the overall aesthetic balance.
Water-resistant to 300 meters, the new Fifty Fathoms Automatique in titanium features a ratcheted unidirectional rotating bezel, fitted with a scratchproof domed black sapphire insert.
The sapphire crystal case-back showcases the Blancpain 1315 calibre, endowed with a remarkable five-day (or 120 hours) power reserve enabled by the use of three series- coupled barrels housing high-performance springs. Its silicon balance-spring protects it from the negative effects of magnetism without the need to isolate it behind a metal cage as it was the case of the original Fifty Fathoms.
The high-quality finishes include straight-graining, beveling, circular-graining and circular satin-brushing.

I like a lot the lume in the bezel protected by sapphire! Probably the best diver's out there.
