Tudor is revisiting its Glamour Double Date with new models featuring a new manufacture calibre, a redesigned middle case and new dials.
Measuring 42 mm in diameter, the Glamour Double Date model is characterized by a versatile elegance and excellent performances guaranteed by a reliable automatic movement whose finishes can be appreciated through a transparent background, a feature rarely found in Tudor watches.
In terms of design, the double bezel has a slight drop which creates a characteristic relief and gives the Glamour Double Date model a refined look.
Available in silver, black, champagne-colour, or opaline white, the dial has two concentric rings: the central medallion is adorned with thin straight vertical gadrooning, the outer ring has a sunray finish and is punctuated by elongated diamond-shaped hour markers.
At 12 o'clock, the date is visible through a large double window. At 6 o'clock, a small second beats time on a snailed background.
For the first time, a Tudor manufacture movement has a small seconds hand at 6 o'clock as well as a double date function at 12 o'clock. Date change at midnight is instantaneous; changes are made by directly adjusting the crown.
Designed for robustness, longevity and reliability and expressly developed for this model, the Calibre MT5641 is coupled with a non-magnetic silicon spiral and is certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), with a precision going beyond the criteria of the institution of -2 +4 seconds per day. Beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vph), it offers a comfortable power reserve of 70 hours.
Water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet, the Tudor Glamour Double Date is available in steel or steel and yellow gold with a choice of bracelets in genuine alligator, steel or steel and gold, with prices starting at Euro 3,050. tudorwatch.com

Lacking of personalities?
ReplyDeleteIt's not bad and the in-house movement is a good thing but I would not wear it.
