The watches are powered by a beautifully finished Swiss automatic movement that can be viewed through the glass exhibition back – behind the silhouette of the town or city that the wearer so closely identifies with.
Based on the based on the ETA 2824-2 or Sellita 200-1, this movement beats at 28,800 vibratoons per hour and offers 38 hours of power reserve.
The 58 cities are symbolized by a silhouette of their typical landmarks on the exhibition glass back. Next to the engraved name of the city, some of the watches also have a suitable aphorism, like “World within a City” for Toronto or “Venice of the North” for Stockholm.
For the first time, several editions are dedicated to entire countries and their cultures. The Portugal version, for example, features a stylized guitar, reminiscent of the fado genre of music. And the “Round Table International” versions point more to a global community rather than a local one.
