This year we have already presented two new watches of the redesigned Marine collection by Breguet, the three-hand Marine 5517 and the Marine Chronographe 5527.
It is now time to learn more about the Marine Alarme Musicale 5547, a creation that houses no less than three horological complications.
In addition to an alarm, that can be used for wake-up calls or to remind appointments or events, the Marine Alarme Musicale 5547 displays a second time zone as well as the date, at 6 o’clock.
The alarm and second time-zone indications appear in two separate subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock while the power reserve of the striking mechanism is displayed between 9 and 12 o’clock. When the model is fully wound, the arrow points to the all-red indication at 9 o’clock.
The alarm pusher is perfectly integrated into the redesigned fluting of the 40 mm case. When the striking mechanism is triggered, a ship’s bell appears through an opening at 12 o’clock, a nod to the maritime world of the collection.
Luminescent hands and markings ensure easy reading of the time by day or night.

The dials of the gold models are enhanced by a fine wavelike engine-turned pattern while the sportier titanium model features a sunburst finish.
Featuring an inverted in-line lever escapement in silicon, the mechanical self-winding movement, Calibre 519F/1, beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a 45-hour power reserve.
The three models can be matched to a leather or a rubber strap. Prices: Euro 28,300 in titanium, Euro 40,400 in rose gold or in white gold. breguet.com
