Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39 White Dial Ref. 114300 and Oyster Perpetual 34 Black Dial Ref. 114200. With all the spotlights on models like the new GMT-Master II Ref. 126710 BLRO and the Deepsea Ref. 126660, the new Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39 Ref. 114300 introduced at Baselworld 2018 went almost unnoticed. Not a complete novelty but, with this model, the Oyster Perpetual 39 is introduced with a matt white dial for the first time.
For Ladies, Rolex also presented the Oyster Perpetual 34 Ref. 114200 with a sunray black dial, a first for this range. Prices are Euro 5,300 for the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39 and Euro 4,700 for the 34 mm model.

Not a complete novelty for sure but, with this version, the Oyster Perpetual 39 is introduced with a matt white dial for the first time.
For Ladies, Rolex also presented the Oyster Perpetual 34 Ref. 114200 with a sunray black dial, another first for this range.
These new versions extend a line that represents a quintessential classic style with 39 mm and 34 mm cases crafted from Oystersteel, a proprietary alloy belonging to the 904L steel family that is used in high-technology and in the aerospace and chemical industries, where maximum resistance to corrosion is essential. Oystersteel is extremely resistant, offers an exceptional finish once polished and maintains its beauty over time.
Displaying only the hours, minutes and seconds, the dial of the Oyster Perpetual is characterised by hour markers fashioned from 18 ct gold to prevent tarnishing. Rolex dials are designed and manufactured in-house, largely by hand.
The Oyster Perpetual 39 Ref. 114300 is powered by Calibre 3132, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Offering a power reserve of approximately 48 hours, this reliable movement features a Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers for enhanced resistance to shocks and to extreme conditions. And, of course, the bidirectional Perpetual rotor giving the name to the model.
The 34 mm model for Ladies is equipped with the Calibre 3130 self-winding movement, smaller but with the same features of the 3132.
Water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet and completed by Oyster bracelets with the typical flat three-piece links, these two models carry the Superlative Chronometer certification applied to the fully assembled watch. The precision of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer after casing is of the order of −2/+2 seconds per day. Prices are Euro 5,300 for the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39 and Euro 4,700 for the 34 mm model. rolex.com

Not a fan of Rolex but that white dial makes this Oyster Perpetual almost perfect. Maybe not very original but it is flawless.
ReplyDeleteI bought the white dial yesterday. The Rhodium was not available. Glad for that. I am very happy with my purchase.
