Dressed in the colour of love, the new PanoMatic Luna from Glashütte Original is a 50-piece special edition that the German brand designed to be a perfect gift for the upcoming International Day of the Kiss (July 6, 2018) or for any other day, of course.
Studded with diamonds and rubies, the PanoMatic Luna features a white mother-of-pearl dial with the opening of the romantic moon phase display at 2 o’clock.
The beauty of the dial is enhanced by 18 ruby indexes serving as a frame for the off-centre hour and minute display. They are positioned together with the small seconds along a vertical axis in the left half of the dial. On the right side, the moon phase display is visually balanced by the characteristic Glashütte Original Panorama Date.
The bezel of the round, 39,4 mm stainless steel case is set with 64 brilliant-cut diamonds – 0.95 carats in all – while the originally-shaped crown is adorned on the right side by a ruby.
The sapphire crystal is antireflective on both sides to ensure optimal views from the dial side. The precious timepiece is enhanced by a radiant red Louisiana alligator leather strap secured to the wrist by a pin buckle.
The PanoMatic Luna is driven by the in-house Calibre 90-12 automatic movement, which is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. Featuring the typical three-quarter plate, blued screws and duplex swan neck fine adjustment, this movement beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vph) and offers 42 hours of power reserve.
