Vacheron Constantin recently presented two new Overseas models in stainless steel characterised by black dials: a self-winding three-hand watch, and a “panda” chronograph with silver-toned counters in contrast with the black background.
The three-hand versions comes in a 41 mm case waterproof to 150 metres / 500 feet. It houses the automatic Calibre 5100 beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and guaranteeing an autonomy of 60 hours. A soft iron casing ring ensures anti-magnetic protection.
The chronograph version is powered by the 4 Hz self-winding Calibre 5200, equipped with a column-wheel to drive the chronograph start, stop and reset functions as well as a vertical clutch to prevent any potential jerking of the hand when the chronograph is activated.
The 42.5 mm stainless steel case features screwed-down push pieces, crown and caseback to guarantee a water-resistance to 150 metres / 500 feet.
Both models are matched to a stainless steel bracelet with half Maltese cross-shaped polished and satin brushed links, complete with a comfort-adjustment system, and delivered with two additional straps in alligator leather or rubber matching the shade of the dial that can be interchanged without any need for tools.
Like all the models of the Overseas collection, the new models with black dials bear the Hallmark of Geneva to certify the highest quality standards.
