Differently from the Polaris Chronograph World Time models presented at SIHH, the new Polaris Geographic WT does not feature a chronograph function making it possible to reduce the diameter of the case from 44 mm to 42 mm.
Water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet, the stainless steel case features the distinctive traits of the Polaris collection: short lugs, slim bezel, polished and brushed finishes to enhance the sporty character of the timepiece.
Protected by a sapphire crystal, the blue dial darkens to a subtly gradated black toward the outside. Different decorations are used: an opaline base for the city disk, a sunrayed sub-dial housing the calendar at 2 o'clock, the second time zone at 6 o'clock and the power reserve at 10 o'clock, and a grained finishing for the case back.
The flange that displays the 24 world time zone can be easily adjusted using the crown at 10 o’clock. For cities switching between standard and daylight saving time according to seasons, a white asterisk indicates the time with this one-hour difference.
The day/night disk is divided into two black and white section to indicate whether it is day or night in the local city as well as in the second time zone.
The watch is powered by the Calibre 936A/1, a 4Hz (28,800 vph) self-winding movement that guarantees 43 hours of power reserve, whose level is indicated on the dial in the sector display located between 8 and 11 o’clock.
