In the coming days Geneva will host a number of important auctions of fine timepieces from Christie's, Phillips and Sotheby's.
The number of lots is huge so here we can only highlight a few pieces - not necessarily the most important - and provide you with the links to the detailed on-line catalogue of each auction.

This rare model was manufactured in 1970 and delivered in 1971, made upon special order for a German retailer. The crown, which is a different colour to the case and pushers, is made from stainless steel, not gold. The bracelet is not the original one.
Expected to make in excess of Swiss Francs 3 Million, this Daytona will be sold for the benefit of Children Action, a foundation dedicated to helping the lives of youth around the world. Suggested reading: "The history of the Rolex Daytona".

The estimate of the Daytona is senseless. No guarantee of an integer and original piece and with a crown in steel! Come on! At least it is good to know that funds raised from its sale will help a charity.
