Baselworld 2018: Bell & Ross - BR 03-92 Diver Blue and BR 03-92 Diver Bronze.
Bell & Ross is adding two new models to the BR03-92 Diver collection. The BR 03-92 Diver Blue uses blue for dial, rubber strap and aluminum insert on the bezel, adding contrast with indices coated in white Super-LumiNova and a yellow hour hand. In the second model, the BR 03-92 Diver Bronze, case and bezel are made from bronze. Prices: Euro 3,300 for the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Blue (ref. BR0392-D-BU-ST) and Euro 3,800 for the BR 03-92 Diver Bronze (ref. BR0392-D-BL-BR).
After launching its first diver’s watch with a square case last year, Bell & Ross is adding two new models to the BR03-92 Diver collection.
The BR 03-92 Diver Blue uses blue for dial, rubber strap and aluminum insert on the bezel, adding contrast with indices coated in white Super-LumiNova and a yellow hour hand. Underwater, the yellow hour hand will fade away giving precedence to the minute hand, which must be visible to ensure the diver’s safety.
This new colour combination greatly enhances the sporty look of the timepiece.
In the second model, the BR 03-92 Diver Bronze, case and bezel are made from bronze, a material used in the past for diving helmets, as suggested by the engraving of a diver on the case-back.
Although very resistant, bronze can form a patina with time depending on its environment, gaining a unique shade over the years. The aged leather strap remarks the vintage spirit of the watch. This model is issued as a limited edition of 999 pieces.
Both models meet the requirements defined by international standard ISO 6425 for a diver’s watch.
Water resistant to 300 meters / 1000 feet, the 42 mm square case is equipped with a 60-minute calibrated rotating bezel, whose luminescent dot at 12 o’clock is used to set time references and calculate time spent underwater.
To prevent the references from being lost, it is unidirectional. This way, if it is moved accidentally, it automatically shortens the dive time to avoid any risk.
The sapphire crystal with antireflective coating is 2.85 mm thick, compared to 1.50 mm on the classic steel BR 03-92.
Screwed down to withstand the pressure at great depths, the crown of the BR 03-92 Diver is equipped with a guard that guarantees complete protection against impacts and optimal water resistance. The crown is also fitted with a rubber insert for improved ergonomics.
Inside, the Calibre BR-CAL.302 (base Sellita SW300-1) beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 38 hours. A soft iron cage increases the resistance of the movement to magnetic fields.
Prices: Euro 3,300 for the BR 03-92 Diver Blue (ref. BR0392-D-BU-ST) and Euro 3,800 for the BR 03-92 Diver Bronze (ref. BR0392-D-BL-BR). bellross.com

I like the Bronze version but I don't like the steel caseback. Why not all in bronze?
ReplyDeleteSteel is generally preferred to bronze to avoid possible allergies. In fact, most bronze mixes have nickel in them and nickel allergies are pretty common.
