Vacheron Constantin presented two new Historiques models featuring a complete calendar.
Like all models in the Historiques collection, the new watches offer a vintage look which comes from the reinterpretation of iconic timepieces of the past, in this case from the 1940s.
With their calendar function, round case with triple gadroons, two-tone dial, “claw-type” lugs and mechanical manual-winding movement, the new Historiques Triple Calendrier 1942 and the Triple Calendrier 1948 feature many typical traits of the era.
Topped by a box-type glass of which the slightly thicker nature enables the use of an extremely slender bezel, the case of all new references is 40 mm in diameter, 10.35 mm thick and water resistant to 30 metres / 100 feet.
The transparent caseback reveals the precious movement: Calibre 4400 QC for the 1942 and Calibre 4400 QCL for the 1948 featuring the moon-phase complication.
Both beating at a frequency of 4 Hz, these mechanical manual-winding movements are entirely developed and crafted by Vacheron Constantin and guarantee an autonomy of 65 hours.
