Officine Panerai - Green Dial Collection

Panerai Green Dial. Officine Panerai Green Dial Collection. Radiomir 8 Days Titanio (PAM00735). The price of the Radiomir PAM735 is Euro 11,800 / US$ 12,100. Radiomir 1940 3 Days Acciaio (PAM00736) . The price of the Radiomir 1940 PAM736 is Euro 8,900 / US$ 9,200. Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Day GMT Titanio (PAM00737). The price of the Luminor 1950 PAM737 is Euro 17,600 / US$ 18,100.
Officine Panerai presented three new timepieces characterized by dark green dials with luminous beige markers, gilded hands and the typical “sandwich” construction based on two superimposed plates.

The three new models share the same dial colour and natural brown leather straps but come with different cases – Radiomir, Radiomir 1940 and Luminor 1950 – and functions. They will be on sale exclusively in Panerai boutiques.

The Radiomir 8 Days Titanio (PAM00735) has the cushion case in brushed titanium, 45 mm in diameter, with the characteristic wire loop strap attachments and the conical winding crown which have been features of this model since it first appeared in 1936.

Functions include the small seconds dial at 9 o’clock and, at 3 o’clock, the date that can be read through a small round lens integrated in the crystal.

On the back of the case, the finish of the hand-wound P.2002 calibre, completely developed and created in the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel, can be observed through a sapphire window. The three spring barrels connected in series provide a power reserve of eight days, the indication of power reserve being visible on the back. The price of the Radiomir PAM735 is Euro 11,800 / US$ 12,100.

The Radiomir 1940 3 Days Acciaio (PAM00736) has the typical lugs integrated with the case formed from a solid block of AISI 316L stainless steel and the cylindrical winding crown carrying the OP logo in relief.

The diameter of 47 mm is that of the historic Panerai models, a tribute to the watches made for the commando frogmen of the Royal Italian Navy, and the sapphire crystal is slightly cambered.

Offering an autonomy of three days, the P.3000 hand wound mechanical calibre of the Radiomir 1940 3 Days is protected by three satin-brushed bridges, one of them with twin supports to firmly hold the balance wheel oscillating at a frequency of 3 Hz. The price of the Radiomir 1940 PAM736 is Euro 8,900 / US$ 9,200.

With a diameter of 44 mm, the Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Day GMT Titanio (PAM00737) is the smaller watch of the three.

The watch is characterized by the classic bridge lever device, patented by Panerai in the 1950s, to protect the winding crown and to help ensure the water-resistance of the watch. The brushed titanium case is enhanced by a polished bezel with the push-button which controls the chronograph start, stop, and reset operations placed at 8 o’clock.

The easy to read dial displays the indications of the functions of the hand-wound P.2004 calibre with a power reserve of eight days, achieved by having three spring barrels in series. The linear power reserve indicator is at 6 o’clock, while the seconds counter and am/pm indication relating to the central second time zone hand is positioned at 9 o’clock.

The chronograph column wheel is visible through the sapphire crystal porthole in the back of the movement and the vertical clutch. The price of the Luminor 1950 PAM737 is Euro 17,600 / US$ 18,100.

All watches are water resistant to 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet) and presented  in a green cherry wood box. Inside the box are a replacement black rubber strap, the tool for replacing it and a screwdriver.

All the three movements feature a device for zeroing the seconds hand to enable very precise synchronisation, and the mechanism for moving the hour hand forwards or backwards without affecting the movement of the minute hand. panerai.com
