To celebrate the 40th anniversary since Williams Racing’s first Grand Prix, Oris has created a limited edition version of its Chronoris model, also a product of the 1970s. The new Chronoris Williams 40th Anniversary Limited Edition comes in a 40 mm stainless steel case characterised by a streamlined shape and houses an automatic chronograph movement that provides a central seconds chronograph hand and 30-minute and 12-hour counters at 12 and 6 o’clock. Based on the ETA 7750, the self-winding Oris Calibre 673 beats at 4 Hz and offers a power reserve of 48 hours.
Protected by a sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating inside, the black dial features applied polished nickel indices, hour and minute hands filled with Super-LumiNova.
Several details remind the link to Williams. The central chronograph seconds hand and minute scale are both in Williams blue, while the case back is embossed with the Williams Racing logo.
Water resistant to 100 metres / 300 feet, the new watch can be matched to a brown leather strap or to a black rubber strap. An articulated metal bracelet is also available.
