The other model is the BR V2-94 Garde-Côtes, a two-counter chronograph featuring screwed push-pieces for optimal water-resistance and security. Prices starting from Euro 2,600 for the three-hand model and Euro 3,900 for the chronograph.
Bell & Ross pays tribute to professionals who rescue at sea and, more specifically, to its helicopter pilots and divers, with two instruments designed to support them in their missions.
Inheriting the round case of the Vintage collection, these two new watches are characterized by a trio of colours: grey, orange and white.
While the metallic grey of the dial recalls the fuselage of the helicopters used by rescuers at sea, the orange reflects the visual codes associated with maritime safety. Guaranteeing optimal visibility, it is the colour of the suits worn by the divers aboard during missions.
The first model - the BR V2-92 Garde-Côtes - is a three-hand model which displays the hours, minutes and seconds using central hands. The date appears in a window between 4 and 5 o’clock.
The brand’s imposing numerals appear at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock offering excellent legibility thanks to the photo luminescent coating.
The bidirectional rotating bezel with a 60-minute scale can be used to set time markers for more accurate mission timing while the crown guard ensures water-resistance and prevents accidental unlocking.
The other model is the BR V2-94 Garde-Côtes, a two-counter chronograph featuring screwed push-pieces for optimal water-resistance and security.
The fixed bezel is adorned with a black anodized insert that is graduated with a pulsimeter. Coordinated with the chronograph, this function can be used to measure the heart rate, useful for rescuers providing first aid.
Both featuring a 41 mm stainless steel case offering water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet, the new watches have a sapphire case-back that reveals the 4 Hz (28,800 vph) automatic movement. The crystal is engraved with the symbol of sea rescuers: the buoy and the anchor.
The watches can be matched to a black rubber strap or to a satin-polished steel bracelet. Prices starting from Euro 2,600 for the three-hand model and Euro 3,900 for the chronograph. bellross.com
