Four new ATUM watches with unusual and eye-catching dial colours - Ice Blue, Burgundy and Champagne - are now available.
The original dials are created using an elaborate lacquering technique, referred to as a two-tone sunburst finish, which produces a colour gradation from transparent to opaque.
Properly named ATUM Primavera, these new models maintain the key features of the ATUM models that we presented in 2016 here.
The three-part 41 mm x 11.35 mm case has a slender bezel which frames a solid-silver dial where the subsidiary small seconds dial is slightly recessed, so that the lance-shaped hands crafted from stainless steel can hover tightly over the minute scale.
The display back reveals the radiant manufacture calibre 100.1 with the characteristic 2/3 plate in untreated German silver decorated with wide horizontal ribbing and the hand-engraved signature. Beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, this sophisticated movement offers 42 hours of power reserve.
The Grossmann balance is carried by the cantilevered, hand-engraved balance cock with the typical micrometer screw. Its design improves the adjustability of inertia and achieves high kinetic energy combined with minimised air resistance and the smallest possible mass.
The distinctive Grossmann winder stops the movement when the user pulls the winding crown and restarts it when the push button at 4 o’clock is pressed. This clever solution helps setting the time with the highest accuracy by avoiding any possibility to alter the positions of the hands.

Beautiful watches. They are getting better and better. Love them. Maybe not so much the burgundy but the other three are just amazing.
