Moritz Grossmann expands its ATUM line with two exclusive limited editions featuring precious enamel dials.
Enamelled dials were common hallmarks of precious pocket watches and remain very rare features of wristwatches. Connoisseurs appreciate the peculiar gloss of enamel that cannot be imitated by any lacquering method.
The dial enamelling technique is very demanding (a single dial calls for many hours of work) but it guarantees exceptional qualities, such as the unalterable intensity of its colour over time as well as a unique surface appearance.
Manufactured in rose gold or white gold, the 41 mm x 11.65 mm case of the ATUM Enamel frames a two-part dial with a white enamel face on which the scales and numerals are printed in black. The Roman numeral XII is printed in royal blue to match the strap adding a nice touch to the classic ensemble.
The manually sculpted hands are matched to the colour of the case. The rose-gold version features three hands that are annealed to a brown hue. For the version in white gold, they are made of polished stainless steel.
The ATUM Enamel is endowed with the beautifully finished manufacture calibre 100.1 slowly beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 42 hours.
The Grossmann winder with pusher, the Grossmann balance, the modified Glashütte stopwork, the beat adjustment system with an index tail, and the Grossmann poising screw are the key elements of the pillar movement with the prominent 2/3 plate.
