Jaeger-LeCoultre expands its Rendez-Vous Collection with the introduction of a moon phase and a new chiming reminder function as well as a larger size and new trendy straps.
And, of course, at the heart of every new Rendez-Vous timepiece is a precise automatic movement beautifully decorated where technical and artistic mastery are combined.
The new Rendez-Vous Night & Day models are presented in two sizes: Medium with a yellow gold case of 34 mm in diameter and Large (38.2 mm) with a choice of stainless steel or pink gold cases. The pink gold version is set with brilliant cut diamonds.
The models can be matched to a steel bracelet as well as to ostrich or alligator leather straps available in a spectrum of colours.
The elliptical guilloché dials of the Rendez-Vous Night & Day are enhanced by their night and day display and delicate floral type hands.
Both versions house the automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 898D/1 movement, produced, assembled, and decorated by hand. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it guarantees 40 hours of power-reserve.
To provide a discreet reminder of an upcoming rendez-vous, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s watchmakers have created the Rendez-Vous Sonatina Large which chimes at the appointed hour, thanks to the little star that can be moved around the dial.
When it is set using the top crown, this innovative feature comes as a surprise to the ear and explains the name Sonatina, a musical term for a short melody. The delicate tinkle of a single hammer strike is then audible at the selected time.
The elegant night and day indicator appears in a semi-circle at 6am, complementing the rendez-vous star at its side.
Available in pink gold or white gold, this precious timepiece is powered by the new self-winding Calibre 735, also beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vph) with a 40-hour power-reserve.
Proposed in steel or pink gold with either a leather strap or a matching metal bracelet, the 34 mm case of the Rendez-Vous Moon Medium frames a silvered guilloché and grained dial which includes a moon phase display also enriched by a finely worked geometric guilloché decoration.
The moon phase function of the automatic 4 Hz Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 935A is highly precise with a time lag of only one day every 985 years.
