Habring2 Erwin. In 2014 Habring² (Maria and Richard Habring) introduced the brand’s first in-house movement, the hand-wound A11 calibre where A stands for Austria and 11 for 2011 when development started. Thanks to the modular design of the A11, the addition of the jumping second turned the A11B (Basis) into the A11S (jumping second). The result of its installation of the A11S in the same 38.5 mm stainless steel case used for the Felix model is called Erwin. The price of the Habring² Erwin is Euro 5,450. Felix remains the Habring² entry level model at a price of € 4,450 also for the new dial.

In 2014 Habring² (Maria and Richard Habring) introduced the brand’s first in-house movement, the hand-wound A11 calibre where A stands for Austria and 11 for 2011 when development started.

The A11 was first housed in the minimalist Felix model and since around mid-2015 the different variants of the A11 have replaced the preceding movements that were based on large-series components (mostly Valjoux/ETA 7750/7760) in all of the older Habring² models, with the current exception of the chronographs.

Thanks to the modular design of the A11, the addition of the jumping second turned the A11B (base) into the A11S (jumping second). Beating at 28,800 vph and offering 48 hours of power reserve, this movement features a tangential screw for fine adjustment and an anti-magnetic escapement with a Carl Haas hairspring offering chronometer quality.

The result of its installation of the A11S in the same 38.5 mm stainless steel case used for the Felix model is called Erwin.

Thanks to a thickness of just 9 mm, Erwin fits comfortably beneath sleeve cuffs. This is made possible by the new design of the jumping second that is much flatter in comparison to earlier hand-wound watch movements with this complication.

The fine-grained, silver-white dial has a minimalist print with black oxidised steel hands in thread form (also available in blued steel on request).

The dial now features second markers with the central second hand precisely jumping from one marker to the next.

A second version of the Erwin model is characterised by a new silver dial with brushed metal finish and red gold plated hour bars and numerals matched to red gold plated hands. This new dial variation will also be available for the Felix model.

The extensive range of ostrich leather and calfskin straps can now be combined to a new slim 18 mm folding buckle made of stainless steel.
