The product of elaborate manual craftsmanship, this precious dial is made by the manufactory's own dialmaker in Pforzheim. For its fragility, mother of pearl must be handled with extreme care. In order to achieve the right colour, the back of the delicate white base material is coated with a layer of lacquer. Mother of pearl's naturally textured hues lend the dial its unique character making each watch unique.
Set within an oval dial window at 4 o'clock, the characteristic Panorama Date is based on two dial discs, mounted concentrically on the same level for optimal legibility.
The polished stainless steel case, 39.4 mm in diameter, is framed by 64 radiant white brilliant cut
diamonds on the bezel, enhanced by 18 brilliant-cut diamonds set on the dial's 9 rod-shaped
indexes. A 3 mm brilliant-cut diamond decorates the winding crown for a total of 83 brilliant-cut diamonds and 1.09 carats.
Glashütte Original’s own Calibre 90-12 automatic movement - with the typical three-quarter plate, blued screws and duplex swan neck fine adjustment - can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back. Beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vph), the movement offers 42 hours of power reserve.
