The vintage Divers Sixty-Five collection from Oris expands with a new model available in a 42 mm stainless steel case.
The largest of the series, the new Divers Sixty-Five 42 mm comes with a choice of metal bracelet, leather and NATO straps.
Launched in 2015, the Divers Sixty-Five collection is inspired to one of the first diver’s watches designed by Oris in 1965. Details like the slim line case, the thin bezel with 60-minute scale, and the trapezoid date window at 3 o’clock are directly taken from the original.
At the same time, while maintaining a vintage look, the new model benefits of modern improvements: the black aluminium inlay bezel is unidirectional, the bubble-curved glass is made of sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating inside, and the hands and hour markers are filled with Super-LumiNova in place of the tritium used in the 1960s.
For the first time, the Divers Sixty-Five has a dark blue, curved dial, offset by vintage-coloured luminescent material.
The case - guaranteeing water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet - houses the 4 Hz (28,800) automatic movement Oris Calibre 733 based on Sellita SW 200-1. The case back is engraved with the historic shield of the brand.
New rubbed-down leather and textile NATO straps join the black rubber strap and stainless steel bracelet options.
