SIHH 2016: Vacheron Constantin - Overseas Ultra-thin Perpetual Calendar. One of the stars of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie held last January in Geneva was without doubts the ultra-thin perpetual calendar model from Vacheron Constantin's new Overseas collection. The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Ultra-thin Perpetual Calendar (ref. 4300V/120G-B102) has a price of Euro 100.000 / US$ 91,400.
One of the stars of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie held last January in Geneva was without doubts the ultra-thin perpetual calendar model from Vacheron Constantin's new Overseas collection (you can find an overview of the five new models here).
Housing the remarkable Calibre 1120 QP, an ultra-thin (just 4.05 mm) mechanical self-winding movement equipped with a perpetual calendar complete with moon phases, the new Overseas Ultra-thin Perpetual Calendar hides the exceptional complexity of its 276 components behind an elegant and understated dial.
Entirely developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback revealing a 22K oscillating weight adorned with a wind rose and subtle finishes. Beating at the frequency of 2.75 Hz (19,800 vibrations per hour), it offers a power reserve of 40 hours.
The white gold 41.5 mm x 8.1 mm case frames a translucent grey-lacquered dial lightly punctuated by blue accents. The calendar indications are: month and leap year at 12 o'clock, date at 3 and day of the week at 9. The eye-catching moon phase display is positioned at 6 o'clock with the Vacheron Constantin logo just below it.
Once correctly set, and assuming that the watch runs continuously, the calendar will not require any adjustment until the year 2100.
The new reference is fitted with an interchangeable white gold bracelet complete with easy-fit system, complemented by two alligator leather and rubber variations, both secured by a white gold buckle.
The watch is antimagnetic thanks to a soft iron casing ring and is water resistant at a pressure of 5 bar (approx. 50 metres).
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Ultra-thin Perpetual Calendar (ref. 4300V/120G-B102) bears the Hallmark of Geneva certification and is available exclusively in Vacheron Constantin boutiques in a presentation box which includes a watch winder and a corrector pen. Its price is Euro 100.000 / US$ 91,400. vacheron-constantin.com
