The Vacheron Constantin Overseas in stainless steel (ref. 4500V/110A-B126 with silver-toned dial or
ref. 4500V/110A-B128 with blue dial) has a price of Euro 21,800 / US$ 19,900 while the pink gold version (ref.4500V/000R-B127) is Euro 38,900 / US$ 39,600.
Last January, directly from the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie of Geneva, we provided an overview of the new Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection, composed of five different models and 12 references.
We start now presenting each model more in detail, the first being the three-handed model, identified by reference 4500V, which houses the automatic movement Calibre 5100.
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Calibre 5100 - displaying hours, minutes, central seconds, and date functions - is proposed in a 41 mm x 11 mm case in stainless steel or pink gold. The steel case can be matched to a silver-toned or sunburst-blue dial while the pink gold version is only available with a silver-toned dial.
All dials have a translucent treatment with a satin-finished base and velvet-finished flange and are enhanced by gold hour-markers and hours and minutes hands, highlighted with white luminescent material.
The new Calibre 5100 is entirely designed, developed and crafted by Vacheron Constantin and is composed of 172 parts. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a 60-hour power reserve guaranteed by its twin barrels.
The transparent screwed-down caseback reveals the 22K gold oscillating weight adorned with a wind rose. Certified by the Hallmark of Geneva, the three-handed Overseas is water-resistant to 150 metres and anti-magnetic thanks to the soft iron ring surrounding its movement.
The curves of the case of the new Overseas are seamlessly integrated with the bracelet or strap which, thanks an interchangeability device, can be easily changed.
The steel versions come with three interchangeable bracelet/straps - a stainless steel bracelet with an easy-fit sizing system as well as two straps in rubber and leather respectively - which make the watch adaptable to all occasions.
The pink gold version is fitted with a brown alligator leather strap and comes with a second strap in brown rubber. All straps are equipped with an interchangeable folding clasp.
