A direct descendant of the iconic 222 model that Vacheron Constantin launched in 1977 to celebrate the 222nd anniversary of the brand, the Overseas watch was presented in 1996 as a classy sport watch designed for an active lifestyle. The structural design of the Overseas - with its distinctive bezel - was developed around the theme of travel with the sophisticated styling to reflect mechanical excellence.
Three years later a chronograph version with a self-winding calibre made its appearance and, in 2004, an anti magnetic screen was fitted to give the movement all-round protection.
Over the years, Vacheron Constantin has developed the identify codes of this line over the years, such as the metal bracelet introduced in 2004 and featuring a motif evoking the Maltese cross brand emblem.

I like a lot the new system to change straps. I always wanted something like that. All watches should use it.
