Tudor launches a new matt black and white version of the Fastrider Black Shield, a self-winding monobloc high-tech ceramic chronograph.
Originally created in 2011 to mark the partnership between Tudor and Ducati, the Fastrider is the technical and sporty Tudor line dedicated to the world of performance motorbikes.
And a new Ducati motorcycle – the total black XDiavel cruiser – has inspired the Geneva brand to create a new edition of its all-ceramic chronograph.
Waterproof to 150 metres and scratchproof, the monobloc high-tech ceramic case of this new chronograph has a diameter of 42 mm. Its production, based on ultra-high-temperature injection processes, stems from industry-leading technological expertise and represents a unique performance for a watch in this price segment.
The fixed bezel with engraved tachymetric scale is also crafted from matt black ceramic while the screw-down winding crown and the chronograph pushers are made in black PVD-treated steel.
With its matt black dial punctuated by white hour-markers and numerals, a white luminescent material, a white chronograph seconds hand, white chronograph totalizer and small-seconds hands, the Fastrider Black Shield enables at-a-glance readings.
The date is displayed through the small aperture at 4:30 and can be adjusted via the rapid date corrector on the caseband at 9 o'clock.
The Tudor Fastrider Blak Shield is powered by the self-winding Valjoux-based calibre 7753 beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering 46 hours of power reserve.
Fitted with a matt black leather strap with white stitching, the watch is also available with an even sportier matt black rubber strap.
