H. Moser & Cie. partnered with Bryan Ferry - the iconic founder and leader of the English art rock group Roxy Music - for the creation of a special limited edition of the Endeavour Small Seconds model.
Renowned for his distinctive dandy style, Bryan Ferry is not just a music artist as he studied Fine Art and for a short period he was even a pottery teacher while writing the songs that would be recorded on the first Roxy Music album.
After discovering the creations of the Neuhausen watch Manufacture, he expressed the desire to collaborate in the creation of a special series bearing his name.
And, in fact, the new Endeavour Small Seconds Bryan Ferry Limited Edition does not only bear the name of the artist but it actually is the result of the close cooperation between Ferry and H. Moser & Cie. in designing the dial and other details of the watch.
With a vintage aesthetic directly inspired to historic models from H. Moser & Cie., the dial of the new limited edition is in a lacquered white with a matte finish and features blued hands. The black used for the Arabic numerals and minute track is interrupted only by few red details: the "12" hour, the "60" figure in the small seconds sub-dial and the name of Bryan Ferry at 6 o'clock (in place of the usual Swiss Made).
The 38.8 mm x 9.3 mm rose gold case has the typical sculpted profile of the Endeavour collection and alternates polished and brushed surfaces.
The beautifully finished hand-wound in-house HMC 321 calibre, slowly beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour and offering a power reserve of 3 days, is visible through the sapphire crystal case-back. It features a power reserve indicator on the movement side, a hacking second mechanism and the original Straumann Hairspring with stabilised Breguet overcoil.
Hand-stitched and hand-finished, the buffed brown calfskin strap contributes to the retro look.
Available from January 2016, the Endeavour Small Seconds Bryan Ferry Limited Edition from H. Moser & Cie. will be produced in just 100 pieces. The price is Euro 16,200. h-moser.com
