For more than three decades Antoine Preziuso has produced high end timepieces characterised by fine craftsmanship, technical refinement and an original styling, often out of conventions. Over the year, he built a strong reputation as a specialist in the art of tourbillon, a reputation which is reinforced by his latest creation: the Tourbillon of Tourbillons.
By rotating once a minute around its axis, the tourbillon - a cage encompassing the oscillating balance wheel - minimise the negative influence of gravity, and consequently improves the timekeeping of the watch.
Antoine Preziuso, in collaboration with his son Florian, went even further creating a timepiece where three tourbillons interact on a revolving plate, whose combined effect is to grant the watch greater precision whatever the wearer’s position.
A patented triple-differential gear connects and turns the three three hand-finished tourbillons, each of them spinning at a rate of 60 seconds, and the revolving plate which turns once each 10 minutes allowing the wearer to enjoy a mesmerising effect.
The respective frequencies of the three balances keep step with each other thanks to the resonance achieved by the proximity of the tourbillons which, this way, oscillate at a stable frequency.
The result of a know-how derived from 35 years of independent watchmaking, the Tourbillon of Tourbillons features a rose gold, titanium and steel case with a diameter of 45 mm and a thickness of 14 mm. The bezels are screwed by 8 lateral pillars in rose gold and 24 titanium screws.
A special version in white gold, titanium and steel, with diamonds to decorate the caseband and the dial, is also available.
Each of the three balance wheels of the AFP-TTR-3X hand-wound movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour. The double series barrels guarantee a remarkable power reserve of 48 hours.
