Titanium is a very light metal with an exceptional resistance to saltwater, a characteristic which makes it ideal for diving watches. It also offers a high degree of comfort as it causes no allergies.
The T1 B has a diameter of 45 mm with a thickness of 12.5 mm and guarantees water resistance to a diving depth of 1000 metres while the smaller but thicker T2 B (41 mm x 13.3 mm) is pressure-resistant up to 200 bar (2,000 metres).
To adjust the set time, the unidirectional captive safety bezel must first be unlocked by pressing it down on opposite sides using two fingers. Since it is not possible to unlock the bezel using just one finger, it is also almost impossible for the set time to be accidentally knocked and changed.
Both watches were tested based on European diving equipment standards EN 250 and EN14143, certified by the international certification body DNV GL. Sinn's Ar-Dehumidifying Technology prevents the creation of moisture inside the case thanks to protective gas filling during assembly.
The time is easy to read thanks to the different shapes of the hour and minute hands. To ensure that this is also possible in the dark or in adverse viewing conditions, the T1 B and T2 B adopt a different colour for the luminous paint used for the minute hand and the key mark on the bezel.
The Soprod SOP A10-2 self-winding movement beats at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour, features a stop-second function and offers a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement is shock resistant and anti-magnetic making these two new Sinn watches highly reliable in most situations.
