SIHH 2015: Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Skeleton Double Flying Tourbillon. Roger Dubuis’ unique skeleton movements are instantly recognisable for their star shape. But Roger Dubuis is now extending the skeleton theme beyond the movement to encompass a fully skeletonised case, flange and hands. Creating powerful contrasts with the 47 mm titanium and black DLC-titanium case, a variety of red aluminium elements on the inner bezel ring, crown and case band emphasise the sporty DNA of the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Skeleton Double Flying Tourbillon which is offered with a variety of colour strap options.
Roger Dubuis’ unique skeleton movements are instantly recognisable for their star shape. But Roger Dubuis is now extending the skeleton theme beyond the movement to encompass a fully skeletonised case, flange and hands. This results in a new interpretation of the Manufacture’s characteristic three-dimensional approach to watch-making.
The skeleton-work external aspects of the watch serve to accentuate the architecture of the movement. Moreover, the original case construction combined to the use of materials like titanium and aluminium, ensures an extremely light and pleasant feel on the wrist.

To maximise readability by night and day, the tips of the hands and the applied screws on the flange are enhanced with Superluminova.
The standout RD01SQ movement, powering this 188-piece limited-edition model, features a double flying tourbillon with differential at 4:60 and 7:30. Each tourbillon performs one rotation per minute. The counter rings surrounding the double tourbillon as well as the small seconds also feature a speedometer-type design that accentuates the motorsports style of the model.
Hand-wound, the movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers 50 hours of power reserve and displays high-quality "Poinçon de Genève" finishing. rogerdubuis.com
