For Baselworld 2015, Glashütte Original presents two new versions of the PanoMaticLunar and PanoReserve models from the Pano collection.
The two timepieces are now available in red gold versions with a matt black dial, and in polished/satin brushed stainless steel editions with a dark blue dial.
The particular hues of the new dials are achieved through a galvanic colouring process with strict standards in order to ensure duration and no changes in the colour over time.
The characteristic off-centre displays features the hour/minute indicators and the small seconds display on a vertical axis within the left half of the dial, while the Panorama Date and the moon phase display for the PanoMaticLunar or the power reserve indicator for the PanoReserve are positioned at the lower and upper right, respectively. Luminous highlights on the hour and minute hands improve legibility in the dark.
The case of the PanoMaticLunar has a diameter of 40 mm with with a thickness of 12.7 mm and houses the Saxon manufactory's Calibre 90-02, a mechanical automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 42-hour power reserve with the typical three-quarter plate construction, Glashütte stripe finish, blued screws and the hand-engraved balance cock with duplex swan-neck fine adjustment. The skeletonized off-centre rotor features an oscillating weight in 21-ct gold.
The PanoReserve maintains the same case diameter of the PanoMaticLunar but it is slightly thinner at 11.7 mm. It is driven by the manual winding Calibre 65-01 (28,800 vph and 42 hours of power reserve) with the traditional finishing details of the Glashütte Original creations.
Both movements are visible through the sapphire crystal case back.
The new Pano models in red gold are offered with a choice of either a matt black Louisiana alligator leather strap or a Louisiana alligator nubuck leather strap, while the stainless steel versions can be worn with a dark blue calf's leather or Louisiana Alligator nubuck leather strap. glashuette-original.com
