With Vacheron Constantin celebrating its 260th anniversary this year - what an extraordinary achievement! - we were expecting great novelties from the Geneva brand at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie started today. And expectations were not disappointed.
At SIHH 2015, Vacheron Constantin unveiled the seven first models of a brand new collection called Harmony dedicated to chronograph and dual-time functions.
Issued in limited editions, the new timepieces are characterised by a new cushion shape and a design inspired by one of the brand’s first wristwatch chronographs introduced in 1928, a monopusher chronograph with pulsometric scale.
Even inside they are totally new with four new movements – the 3500, 3200, 3300 and 1142 calibers - entirely designed, developed and produced in-house.
In the next days we will present each new Vacheron Constantin Harmony model in detail. In the meanwhile we provide here an overview of the collection.
Harmony Ultra-Thin Grande Complication Chronograph Caliber 3500
The flagship model of the new collection, presented in a 10-piece numbered edition in platinum, makes its mark in the field of ultra-thin horology by setting a new world record as the thinnest split-seconds self-winding movement (5.20 mm) and case (8.40 mm). For the first time Vacheron Constantin adopts a peripheral rotor. Case size: 42mm x 52 mm.
Harmony Tourbillon Chronograph Caliber 3200
Combining the elegance of the monopusher chronograph with the prestige of a stunning tourbillon shaped like the Maltese Cross, this new model is issued in a highly exclusive series of 26 individually numbered timepieces. Case size: 42mm x 52 mm.
Harmony Chronograph Caliber 3300
A numbered edition of 260 pieces in pink gold, the Harmony Chronograph displays the hours, minutes, small seconds at 9 o’clock, along with a monopusher chronograph function, pulsometric scale and power-reserve indication. In tribute to the 1928 model and to historical medical watches, it bears a pulsometric graduation painted in deep red around the rim of the dial and intended to calculate the pulse on a 30-beat scale. Development work on the exceptionally finished Caliber 3300 began in 2008 with the goal of combining modern production technologies with a traditional chronograph architecture equipped with a column wheel and a lateral coupling clutch. Case size: 42 mm x 52 mm.
Harmony Chronograph Small Model Caliber 1142
A new, feminine interpretation of the double-pusher chronograph. Issued in a limited edition of 260-pieces, the Chronograph Small Model is embellished by a gem-set bezel. For this model the movement is not new but it is an enhanced version of an existing caliber now meeting the demands of the Hallmark of Geneva and endowed with a higher frequency (3 Hz rather than 2.5 Hz). Case size: 37 mm x 46.6 mm.
Harmony Dual Time Caliber 2460DT
The new self-winding Caliber 2460DT features a dual time function, one of the most useful complication. The three new references, two for men in white gold or pink gold and one for women in white gold with a diamond-set bezel, are equipped with this new movement driving the hours, minutes, seconds along with dual time and day/night indications. Case size: 40 mm x 49.3 mm.

All beautiful pieces. The rattrapante is one of the best chronograph seen lately.
