Pre SIHH 2015: Richard Mille - RM 33-01. The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) 2015 is less than 12 weeks away and some early previews of the many novelties that will be introduced in Geneva are starting to flow in. Richard Mille has just unveiled the RM 33-01, a sporty automatic watch in a tripartite case (diameter 45.70 mm, thickness 9.20 mm) framing an open worked dial which, thanks to outsized numerals, guarantees a good readability while allowing the wearer to admire the complex skeletonized movement.

Richard Mille has just unveiled the RM 33-01 Automatic, a sporty automatic watch in a tripartite case (diameter 45.70 mm, thickness 9.20 mm) framing an open worked dial which, thanks to outsized numerals, guarantees a good readability while allowing the wearer to admire the complex skeletonized movement.
The Calibre RMXP3 is crafted in grade 5 titanium, sandblasted and electroplasma treated, and it features an off-centre platinum micro rotor. Surfaces are satin-finished and chamfered by hand. The date window and the small seconds sub-dial enhanced by a red-tipped hand are positioned at 7 and 6 o'clock respectively.
Like other Richard Mille movements, the RMXP3 was subjected to various tests including shocks and temperature variations to guarantee resistance and proper functioning of the movement in all circumstances.
The round case maintains the typical construction of Richard Mille cases - front bezel, case band, back bezel - used for both the round and the tonneau-shaped watches and it is assembled using 14 grade 5 titanium spline screws. It offers a water resistance of 30 metres.
The Richard Mille RM 33-01 is matched to a rubber strap secured with a folding clasp in grade 5 titanium and will be available in titanium, red gold or white gold with a caseband in grade 5 titanium.
