Omega has introduced the Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite with grey-blue (304.30.43.52.06.001) or black dial (304.30.43.52.01.001). Price €19,100

With the release of the new Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite, Omega reaffirms its distinctive connection with the Earth’s satellite.

This model is the first Speedmaster to offer a moonphase complication that displays lunar cycles as seen from both the northern and southern hemispheres.

The astronomical theme is further enhanced by the use of iron meteorite for the dial. This ancient space material reveals a unique pattern of ribbon-like flecks, ensuring every watch is one of a kind.

Housed in a 43 mm x 13.6 mm polished-brushed stainless steel case, the Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite comes in two variations:

Ref. 304.30.43.52.06.001: Featuring a galvanic grey-coated meteorite dial, this version is adorned with blue-coated hour and minute hands, and 18K white gold indexes. The subdials also sport blue-coated hands in 18K white gold, while a polished blue ceramic bezel ring with a white enamel tachymeter scale adds the finishing touch.

Ref. 304.30.43.52.01.001: This model presents a PVD black-coated meteorite dial with hour and minute hands, as well as indexes, in 18K white gold. Matching black-coated subdial hands in the same precious metal and a polished black ceramic bezel ring with a white enamel tachymeter scale complete its sleek design.

The Moonphase display at 6 o’clock stands out for its two cabochon Moons, crafted from pieces of Moon meteorite. As they turn, they reveal the changing phases visible from the northern and southern hemispheres. 

The stars in the background are positioned exactly as they appeared on the night Apollo 11 landed on the Moon in 1969—as seen from Omega’s watchmaking home in Bienne, Switzerland.

The 3 o’clock subdial offers a 60-minute and 12-hour recorder, while the small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock includes a date display with a red anodized aluminium hand.

The scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal is enhanced by an anti‑reflective treatment on both sides.

Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, the new hand-wound Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9914 operates at a frequency of  4 Hz (28,800 vibration per hour) with a power reserve of 60 hours, delivered by two barrels mounted in series. 

The entire watch—not just the movement—is certified as a Master Chronometer by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), meeting the highest standards of precision, performance, and magnetic resistance in the Swiss watch industry. Its silicon Si14 balance spring ensures resistance to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. Water resistance is rated at 5 bar (50 metres / 165 feet).

The bracelet in polished-brushed stainless steel features a patented comfort release adjustment. The lug width is 21 mm.
