New pink gold dial for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Chronograph

Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled the new Reverso Tribute Chronograph with pink gold dial and pink gold case. The retail price of ref.Q389256J is €73,500.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has recently presented a new interpretation of the Reverso Tribute Chronograph, combining a solid 18k pink gold dial to an 18k pink gold case.

Following the two initial versions in steel and pink gold introduced in 2023, this new model will be produced in a limited edition of 250 pieces.

Measuring 49.4 x 29.9 mm with a thickness of 11.14 mm, this new reference maintains the proportions of the iconic swivelling rectangular case of the Reverso (read its complete history here) with the only hint of the presence of the chronograph complication represented by the two push-buttons on either side of the winding crown.

The front dial showcases a new decorative finish for the Reverso Tribute line. Crafted in pink gold, it features fine horizontal lines laser-engraved across the dial, accentuating the rectilinear geometry of the Reverso case while amplifying the three horizontal gadroons positioned above and below the dial.

Set against this backdrop are the hallmark design elements of the Reverso Tribute: applied trapezoid indexes, Dauphine hands, and a chemin de fer minutes track, which in this version stands out in black to elegantly contrast with the pink gold.

On the reverse side, the open-worked dial reveals the complexity of the chronograph mechanism. The 18k pink gold bridges are enhanced by hand-bevelled edges and vertical Côtes de Genève decoration.

The counters, chronograph seconds and minute tracks are highlighted in black while blue chronograph hands and blued screws add a nice touch of colour. 

The polished 18k (750/100) pink gold indexes appear to float above the movement as they are invisibly attached to the minute track. 

A fully integrated, hand-wound chronograph movement, entirely designed, produced, and assembled in-house by the Manufacture, the Calibre 860 operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a power reserve of 52 hours, remarkable given the high energy demands of a retrograde chronograph combined with dual time indications.

The movement features a column wheel with a horizontal clutch. This configuration was chosen over the more common vertical clutch to minimise the overall thickness of the calibre.

To display hours and minutes on both the front and reverse dials, the movement powers two sets of hands that must rotate in opposite directions, ensuring the correct clockwise time indication on both faces.

The Reverso Tribute Chronograph is paired with two straps featuring an interchangeable buckle for effortless strap changes. Offered in canvas-and-leather and all-leather options, the straps are crafted by renowned Argentinian polo bootmaker Casa Fagliano, reconnecting the Reverso to its polo heritage.
